Genevieve Eileen "Genny" Tanis, 99

Genevieve Eileen "Genny" Tanis, 99, went to be with her Lord Saturday, September 5, 2020. She was born February 13, 1921 in rural Osborne County, the daughter of Wesley E. and Elizabeth P. (Hofer) Heiser.
She was a farm wife and retired secretary.
Mrs. Tanis is preceded in death by her husband, Aura, in 2008, her siblings, Delpha Shike and Dean Heiser.
She is survived by son, Jim Tanis (Ruth) of Hays; daughter, Barb Hoogeveen (Phil) of Sully, Iowa; daughter, Bonnie Tanis of Downs; son, John Tanis (Jan) of Cawker City, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Dispatch Christian Reformed Church, rural Cawker City. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, September 9, 2020 from 7-8:30 pm at the Church Fellowship Hall. Out of respect and as requested by the family, masks and social distancing are highly encouraged. Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice and Resonate Global Mission (Amy Hoogeveen) in care of Domoney Funeral Home, PO Box 127, Downs, KS 67437.
