Frederick L. Baxa Jr, son of Fredrick L. Baxa Sr. and Lottie (Oborny) Baxa, was born October 27, 1943 at Belleville, Kan., and passed away on September 8, 2020 at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, Kan., at the age of 76.
He graduated from Cuba High School.
He was united in marriage to Karen Havel and to this union three sons, Lawrence, Karl and Leland, and one daughter, Karla, was born. He was a farmer/rancher and was a lifelong resident of the Cuba, Kansas, community.
He is a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, Cuba, Kan., charter member and former officer of the Republic County Czech Club, 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus #2609, 4th degree Knights of Columbus Bishop Thill, member of the Catholic workman, National Farmers Organization, former president and member of the Cuba Alumni Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lottie Baxa; one brother, Marian Baxa; one sister, Sister Veronica Baxa.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Baxa of rural Cuba, Kan.; three sons, Lawrence (Rita) Baxa of Ingalls, Kan., Karl (Lisa) Baxa of Cuba, Kan., Leland (Stephanie) Baxa of Osborne, Kan.; one daughter, Karla (Derrek) Jeardoe of Clearwater Kan.; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild; one brother, Larry (Gail) Baxa of Belleville, Kan.; two sisters, Ella (Larry) Rudolph of Belleville, Kan., and Marvine Oborny of Bellwood, Neb.; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
All are welcome to attend the Graveside Services and Interment at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 12, 2020, at St. Isidore Catholic Cemetery, Cuba, Kan., conducted by Father Henry Baxa.
Vigil/Rosary service will be held 6:30 PM Friday, September 11, 2020 at Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, Kan.
Friends may call on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 1 PM to 8 PM at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, Kan.
