Roy Lester Lawrence, 79

Roy Lester Lawrence, age 79, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at the Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. He was born January 23, 1941 in Concordia, Kansas, to Charles and Jennie (Jack) Lawrence.
On June 13, 1965 he married Donna Marie Waite in Belleville, Kansas.
Roy was a truck driver all his life driving for Fairmont, Frito Lay, Boogaarts, Scrivner, Concordia Brick Plant, and was Pick-Pack hauler.
He enjoyed watching TV but most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his beloved grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Donna Lawrence, Concordia, Kansas; Roy Lawrence (Charlotte), Clyde, Kansas; son, Willie Lawrence (Karla), Concordia, Kansas; Travis Lawrence (A.J.), Sheridan, Wyoming; sister, Laura Christensen (Damon), Concordia, Kansas; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Jennie; two sisters, Bertha Fraser and Ada Johnson.
Visitation will be held 1:00 to 5:00 Monday, September 21, 2020 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, with Pastor Jonathan Peppers officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.
Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #76 and VFW Post #588 of Concordia, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be given the the Roy Lester Memorial Fund to be designated at a later time.
