Lora A. Martin, 73

Lora A. Martin, daughter of Bernard J. Tarkowski and Helen F. (Blanchat) Tarkowski, was born July 27, 1947 at Belleville, Kan., and passed away on November 14, 2020 at Lakeview Assisted Living, Firth, Neb., at the age of 73.
Lora grew upon the family farm and then moved to Belleville where she graduated from Belleville High School in 1965. She was united in marriage to Stephen Martin on January 29, 1969, having three children, Michael, Stephenie and Gregory.
Lora enjoyed music, the arts, including painting, gardening and spending time with her family. She worked as a special needs teacher, in banking and operated a Floral Shop all while raising her children. She and Steve found great joy operating a produce stand at Farmers Markets in their later years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Helen Tarkowski; husband, Stephen Martin; son Gregory; sister, Paula Jeardoe.
She is survived by son, Michael (Julie) Martin; daughter, Stephenie (Clayton) Doeschot; stepson, Stephen Martin; stepdaughter, Christine Johanson; grandchildren, Britta, Breck, Bryce, Brenna and Emily; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Jamison; sister, Cathy Grant; brother, Jon (Donna) Tarkowski; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Cremation was chosen.
Private Family Graveside services and Inurnment will be Friday, November 20, 2020 at Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, Kan.
Memorials may be given to the Lora A. Martin Memorial Fund.
