Kyle Allen Schmidt, 62

Kyle Allen Schmidt, age 62, of Concordia, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Marquis Place, Concordia. He was born on January 22, 1958 in Houston, Texas, to Sonny and Donna (Kersenbrock) Schmidt.
Kyle was a 1976 graduate of Concordia High School. Kyle received his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from KSU-Salina Campus.
He worked as a machinist for Alstom Power and later Concordia Technologies.
He enjoyed golfing, politics, reading and was an avid KU fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and his family.
He is survived by two daughters, Nicole Schmidt, Eudora, Kan.; Molly Kate Schmidt, Concordia, Kan.; son, Lucas Schmidt and his fiance', Kristen Starr, Concordia, Kan.; step-son, Josh Merriman, Towanda, Kan.; mother, Donna Breault and her two dogs, Yogi and Suzy, his father, Sonny Schmidt, Houston, Texas; two sisters, Kelley Kemmerer (James), Concordia, Kan., Lynn Weaver (Jim), Concordia, Kan.; brother, Rick Breault, Jr. (Heidi), Norfolk, Neb.; step-brother, Cecil Schmidt (Janet), Houston, Texas; Step-sister, Debbie Mazzola (Rich), Houston, Texas; half sister, Raquel Roeder (Cliff), Houston, Texas; half sister, Bridgette Gwynn (Nick) in Virginia; six grandchildren, Dayton, Andi, Zaeley, Zyker, Zobrist, Zeppelin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elrick "Rick" Breault.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6-8 pm at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, with Pastor David Redmond officiating. Family has asked masks be worn at service due to Covid pandemic.
After services cremation will place and burial of the Cremains will take place at a later time.
The family suggests memorials to Marquis Place Assisted Living in care of the funeral home.
