Lloyd Allen Wiles was born on March 29, 1925, to Frank and Elsie (Michels) Wiles on a farm in the Blue Hill community northeast of Hunter. He was the 14th and youngest child. He passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021 at the Downs Care & Rehab Center at the age of 96.
As a youth, Lloyd attended the Blue Hill Grade School and Hunter High School, graduating in the class of 1944. He was baptized at an early age and became a member of the Blue Hill Methodist Church. After he finished school, he managed the COOP service station and helped care for his mother for over 10 years.

Lloyd was a faithful member of the Methodist Church and was active in church events. He sang in a men's quartet for many years.
Lloyd was loving and dedicated to his family and was always there for them. His grandchildren were very special to him and Allene. He loved taking them fishing and out riding in his truck. He was proud of their academic achievements and attended their sporting events. They always knew when they heard that special whistle that only grandpa could make, he was there and cheering them on.
Lloyd was a farmer and stockman who enjoyed tilling the soil and raising livestock. He was very handy and could fix almost everything himself. He owned and operated a milk route for Tescott Cheese Company. He was a dedicated member of the Hunter Lions Club for over 70 years.
