William H. Baker, 78

William "Bill" H. Baker, son of Ralph W. Baker and Fern (Meriwether) Baker, was born February 11, 1943 at Zurich, Kansas, and passed away on July 11, 2021 at Belleville Health Care Center, Belleville, Kansas, at the age of 78.
He graduated from Morland, Kansas, High School. He was united in marriage to Shirley A. Greer on November 7, 1970 and to this union two children were born, William Allen and Ellen Renae.
He was a lifetime member of the Assembly of God Church. He was employed by the Sheridan County Road Department for 31 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Fern Baker; sister, Shirley A. Borger; two brother-in-laws and two nephews.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Baker of Belleville, Kansas; one son, William A. Baker of Belleville, Kansas; one daughter, Ellen R. (Leonard) Ball of Belleville, Kansas; one brother, Fred (Linda) Baker of Catoosa, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, CC (Kirsten) Ball of Belleville, Kansas, Katrina Ball of Belleville, Kansas; one great-grandchild on the way; brother-in-law, Robert Borger; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, Kansas, conducted by, Pastor Earl Hale.
Interment will be in Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the William H. Baker Memorial Fund.
Friends may call on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 1 PM to 8 PM at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM.
