Annabel Woodworth, age 95, entered into rest on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Sunset Nursing Home in Concordia, Kansas. She was born April 19, 1926 in Aurora, Kansas, to Henry and Delvina (Savoie) Monty.
She attended Aurora Catholic Schools and finished her senior year at Concordia High School.
On November 19, 1946 she married Curtis Woodworth. He preceded her in death in 1980.
She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 30 years as an operator, supervisor, and group manager, retiring when the Concordia office closed.
Annabel was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Altar Society, Telephone Pioneers, VFW Auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis; parents; daughter, Linda; brother, Donald Monty; sister, Della Mae Metro.
There will be no visitation.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am Monday, August 9, 2021 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Fr. David Metz officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia.
Memorial contributions may be given to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, P.O. Box 606, Concordia, KS 66901.
