Opal Joy Shrouf, 95

Opal Joy Shrouf, age 95 of La Plata, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the La Plata Nursing Home.
Born March 26, 1926 in Mankato, Kansas, Opal was the daughter of Charles and Florence (Hancock) Mullins.
Surviving are four children, Gary (Lisa) Shrouf of Hurdland, Missouri, Kristy (Ron) Robinson of La Plata, Missouri, Jackie Shrouf of La Plata, Missouri, and David Shrouf of La Plata, Missouri; one sister, Wanda Isley of Concordia, Kansas; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Shrouf; son, Tom Shrouf; brother, Dean Mullins; and four grandsons.
Opal lived all of her life in the Concordia area until moving to La Plata in 2010 to be near her family. She attended the La Plata United Methodist Church. Opal enjoyed crossword puzzles, her animals, and loved spending time with her family.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia, Kansas, under the direction of Nutter Mortuary.
Memorials in memory of Opal may be made to the La Plata Nursing Home in La Plata, Missouri. They may be sent to or left at Travis Funeral Chapel, 125 S. Church St., La Plata, MO 63549.
