Cecelia T. Deneault, age 95, entered into rest on January 20, 2022 at the Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. She was born December 20, 1926 at home in Ames, Kansas, to Nicholas and Cordelia (Menard) Koch.
Cecelia was a 1945 graduate of Clyde High School.
Cecelia married Ernest L. Deneault on June 1, 1948 in Clyde, Kansas. He preceded her in death October 17, 1996.
She was a homemaker and lifetime resident in Cloud County having lived most of her life in the St. Joseph community.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, Kansas, past member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph, Kansas.
Her hobbies included gardening, reading and sewing.
Survivors include 10 children, Theresa Cibolski (Terry), Concordia, Kansas, Patricia Baker (Bruce), Moore, Oklahoma, Martha Miller (David), Garden City, Kansas, Elaine Hansen, Phoenix, Arizona, Susan Black (Lonnie), Minneapolis, Kansas, Diane Michels (Larry), Baldwin, Kansas, Marilyn Michels (Scott), Pleasanton, Kansas, Anita Biel (Paul), Hutchinson, Kansas, Gregory Deneault (Tonya), Concordia, Kansas, Annette Grant (Tim), Manhattan, Kansas; 46 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild .
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest, 12 brothers and sisters, two sons, Dennis and Daniel, son-in-law, Ray Hansen and a great grandson, James.
Visitation will be held from 1-4 pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 at the Chaput Mortuary, Clyde, Kansas. A parish rosary will be prayed on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. at the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Clyde, Kansas. Family will receive friends after the Rosary service in the Church Fellowship Hall.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, with Fr. Steven Heina officiating. Family will gather in the Fellowship Hall after the Mass Service for the Meal. Burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Concordia Catholic Cemetery, Concordia.
In lieu of flowers a Memorial Contribution may be given to Priests for Life or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church c/o Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
