Sandra LaRocque, 85

Sandra Jane LaRocque departed this life on June 1, 2022, at home, at the age of 85 years. Sandra was born March 31, 1937, to Sergeant Gordon and Mary McMillan at Fort Leavenworth Post Hospital. Sandra was the second of four children, including Russell, Gordon, and Becky. Sandra graduated from Beloit Jr.-Sr. High School in 1955. Sandra married Wilfred Severance in 1955 and two children were born of this union, Jeffrey in 1958 and Jennifer in 1959. The marriage was later dissolved.
In 1968, Sandra was united in marriage to Lawrence Paul LaRocque. To this union, four children were born: Rene Ann, Paul Lawrence, Stephen James, and Linda Beth. They were blessed to have 48 years of marriage until Lawrence's passing in 2016. Sandra was proceeded in death by her father, Gordon; mother, Mary; brother, Russell; and daughter, Jennifer Ann Severance.
Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and friend. Sandra never missed an event that her children were in. If there was a concert, ballgame, or horseshow, she never missed it and you knew she was in the stands. If Sandra wasn't helping Lawrence on the farm, you could find her preparing a wonderful home-cooked meal or in her flower and vegetable gardens.
Left to celebrate her life and the many memories are sons, Jeffrey (Andrea) Severance of Seneca Falls, New York, Paul (Lisa) of Cawker City, Kansas, Stephen (Bobby) of Austin, Texas, and daughters, Rene Morain of Lawrence, Kansas, and Linda (Jeff) Kastrup of Cawker City, Kansas. Also celebrating her life are grandchildren, Brandy, Joni, Ben, Cheyanne, Jessica, Megan, Ashley, Christopher, Tristan, Collin, Braedon, Dalton, Michealla; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Nyla, Madison, Sutton, a new one on the way; brother, Gordon McMillan of Beloit; sister, Becky Thornton of Kingman; and a host of many friends.
