Lisa Kay Jones, 57

Lisa Kay Jones, age 57, of Belleville, Kansas, left this earthly life on Sunday, June 5, 2022 surrounded by her family at her home in Belleville, Kansas. She was born on July 31, 1964 in Topeka, Kansas, to Gale and Sue (Cales) Atherton.
Lisa graduated from Concordia High School in the Class of 1982.
She married Russ Jones and they were married for 25 years. They later divorced. To this union two children were born: Tara and Kyle.
Lisa was a daycare provider for several years. She also worked for 13 years for Krier Mower and Electric. After moving to Belleville Lisa began working at the Republic County Highway Department and later Food Mart.
She was a member of the Jamestown United Methodist Church.
Lisa loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren, and attending all her families sports activities. She also loved spending her spare time in the garden, caring for her many beautiful flowers.
Lisa is survived by her son, Kyle Jones (Julie Gieber), Agenda, Kansas; grandchildren, Heather (Brett), Harlee, Lane, Jordi, BerkLee; son-in-law, Brad Hansen, Concordia, Kansas; parents, Gale and Sue Atherton, Topeka, Kansas.
She was preceded by her daughter, Tara L. Hansen.
Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m Friday, June 10, 2022 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas, with Pastor Randy Whitley officiating. Burial will follow at the Zion Cemetery, rural Concordia, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Lisa Jones Memorial Fund to be set up for her grandchildren's education fund in care of Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, P.O. Box 606, Concordia, KS 66901.
