Leon E. Kuhn, 70

Leon Earl Kuhn, 70, of Downs, Kansas, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 24, 2022 at his home. Leon was born January 4, 1952 to Remigius and Roberta Kuhn in Russell, Kansas. Leon grew up and attended school in Hays, Kansas. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Leon received his associate degree from Barton County Community College. He worked in the oil field for more than 30 years. Leon enjoyed golfing, fishing and riding his Harley.
Leon's surviving family include his wife of 33 years, Tonya (Cooley); son, Christopher (Bobbi) Kuhn, Buncombe, Illinois, and daughter, Jenifer (Cesar) Pelayo of Trona, California; sister-in-law, Cyndi Kuhn, Gardner, Kansas; brothers, Ron (Mary) Kuhn Ladera Ranch, California, Steve (Lynn) Kuhn, Pampa, Texas, and Terry (Lisa) Kuhn, WaKeeney, Kansas; and four grandchildren, Tiara, Aidan, Alyssia and Gavin.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob Kuhn and Mike Kuhn; sisters, Roberta Kuhn and Mary Ann Randa; and grandson, Abrham Kuhn.
A Celebration of Leon's life will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Zion Lutheran Church in Downs.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Zion Lutheran Church in Downs, Kansas. Interment will follow at Downs Cemetery.
