The Mitchell County Commissioners met at the Courthouse Monday morning, April 10, to conduct the business of the County. Commissioners Tom Claussen and Jim Marshall were present for the meeting. Commisioner Mike Cooper was absent. There were only a few matter-of-fact details to deal with. It was a short meeting.
The Commissioners issued a proclamation naming the month of April as Sexual Violence Awareness Month in Mitchell County.
Mitchell County Sheriff Tony Perez presented two bids for replacement water heaters at the jail. The Commissioners accepted the low bid from Watts and Son of Beloit.
County Engineer Stuart Porter gave the Commissioners an update on the county bridge inspection operation.
Superintendent of Public Works Marty Hernandez updated the Commissioners on the ongoing efforts to move everything from the old shop building to the new one.
Having addressed all the items on the printed agenda, the meeting was adjourned.
