Harry Harrison was born in 1934 in Glen Elder, Kansas, and he was 89 years old. His parents moved from Glen Elder to Topeka when he was one year old. When Harry was 10 years old, he started coming back to Glen Elder every summer to work on his Uncle Irvin Neff's farm. He attended Barber's School in Oklahoma City and then barbered in Topeka.
In April 1955, Harry married Patricia Ellis, his high school sweetheart, in the Nazarene Church in Topeka. After a few years, Harry's Uncle Irvin asked him to take over his ground since he was going to retire and they moved to Glen Elder in 1962. Harry was extremely happy doing the work of a farmer and he loved his cow/calf business. Harry and Pat were blessed with three children and the boys were a huge part of the farm work.
