Beverly Ann (Sears) Snavely, 65

Smith Center - Beverly Ann (Sears) Snavely, 65, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita, KS.

Beverly was born on August 8, 1960, in Austin, TX, the oldest daughter of Dwight and Rose Marie (Tompkins) Sears. Beverly graduated from Smith Center High School in the class of 1978. She also graduated from Mid America Nazarene University in 1982 with a major in Art. Beverly attended beauty college in Kansas City, Missouri and earned her degree and beautician license. She also was a substitute teacher in Ellis County area for one year and in WaKeeney, Plainville and Victoria, KS. On April 23, 1994, she married Clinton E. Snavely and to this union they had one daughter Autumn. They were married for over 31 years.

Beverly's main interest in life was reading books; she always had a book at hand and spent much of her time reading. She also liked to paint and was a good artist.

She had been battling cancer for at least 3 years. Beverly's cancer returned and spread rapidly after a period of remission.

She was preceded in death by her mother Rose Marie and sister Barbara Kuhlmann.

Beverly is survived by her husband Clinton E. Snavely of Smith Center; father, Dwight Sears of Smith Center; sister, Colleen Bennett of Phillipsburg; a daughter Autumn and numerous other relatives.

She was always ready to help, and her friendly smile will be greatly missed. Thanks to God, she is at peace with our Lord.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 113 S. Madison St., Smith Center, KS, with Rev. Gary Simon officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., with family present to great friends from 5 - 7 p.m. and Wednesday, December 10th, 8:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Smith Center, KS. Memorials may be given to the Beverly Ann Snavley Memorial Fund and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
