Ribbon Cutting for Cycling
The NCK Wellness Center would like to welcome everyone to a ribbon cutting for their new Cycle Theater Center. The ribbon cutting will be Wednesday, April 11th at 4:45 PM. There will be a class at 5:15 so you can watch and learn more about the high-tech Cycle Theater Center.
Bergmann Benefit
There will be a benefit dinner and raffle this weekend for Paul Bergman of Cawker City. Bergmann was seriously injured recently at his home while cutting some metal.
In response his family and friends have organized a fundraiser to help Bergman's family. There will be a meal and raffle at the St. Theresa School Building at 12th & Holly in Cawker City. The meal will be served from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM . There will be a free will donation. Plus there will be a raffle with items donated from local businesses starting at 4:00 PM.
Huelskamp in Beloit April 4th
Kansas 1st District Congressman Tim Huelskamp will be in Beloit on April 4th. Huelskamp will have a town hall meeting at the Beloit Municipal Building from 2:30 to 3:30 PM. All residents are encouraged to attend the town hall meeting to discuss current issues facing our country.
Easter Egg Hunt-April 7
The Easter Bunny is on his way! The annual Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, April 7th beginning at 10:00 AM. Due to construction on the new pool at Chautauqua Park the hunt will be held at the Beloit soccer fields this year. Over 400 children are expected to participate in the hunt this year.
Easter Bake Sale
The Cassiopeia Club is hosting an Easter Bake Sale on Saturday April 7 to raise money for the clean-up and rejuvenation of the West Side Park in Beloit. The Bake Sale will be April 7th form 9:00 to 11:30 AM at the Beloit Soccer Fields.
Earth Day Event
Cassiopeia will be hosting an Earth Day celebration at West Side Park at 1:30pm on April 22nd. They will be sprucing up the park by doing everything from raking sand to painting. Anyone interested is encouraged to help. If you have questions contact Lori May at 738-3995.
Sprucing Up the Town
Plans are being made to add more color and beauty to Beloit by building on the success of the Fall and Christmas decorations that were done downtown last year. Plans are being made to add colorful flowers and flags this Spring and Summer. Decorations will be added to the light poles with flags and hanging baskets of silk flowers. Anyone who would like to help with a donation for this project to decorate the town contact Rose Cramb, Jodi Mosher or Glada Cooper for more information.
Homecoming Weekend Picnic in the Park
Work continues on plans for the Homecoming Weekend celebration this Memorial Day weekend in Beloit. Non-profit groups interested in having a food booth at the picnic in the park should contact the Beloit Chamber office at 738-2717 to make arrangements.
The new pool will be opening that weekend so the picnic in the park will be moved to the west end of the park at the shelter houses near the tennis courts.

Farm Home & Garden Show Registrations Rolling In
Nearly 50 businesses have already registered for the 3rd Annual Farm, Home & Garden Show coming up April 13th & 14th. Registration forms are available at the Chamber office at 123 N. Mill Street or online from the Chambers' Facebook page. They can also be e-mailed upon request.
Booth spaces are going fast and the main floor will fill up quickly.
