Homecoming Weekend!
The Homecoming Weekend Parade will kick off a busy weekend of activities in Beloit. The parade line up will begin on Mill Street between 4th & 8th streets. Volunteers from the Chamber of Commerce will begin lining up parade participants starting at 8:30 AM
The introduction of all 1962 graduates and veterans will begin at the intersection of Main & Mill at 9:30 AM and the Parade begins at 10:00 AM. Each participant in the parade will fill out an entry form when they arrive for the line up and will be placed in order of their arrival.
Following the parade there will be a community "Picnic in the Park" at Chautauqua Park. Several local organizations will be serving food by the tennis courts. The picnic is a great opportunity to mingle and visit with alumni and guests.
The Talking Tombstones program has been scheduled for 2:00 PM both Saturday and Sunday at the Elmwood Cemetery.
There will also be a Cruz'n Mill Street Reunion Saturday night. This will be the time to hop in your car and cruise Mill Street from 8:00 to 10:00 PM.
The Beloit Country Club is hosting a dance with Tim Anthony and the Animals from 9:00 to Midnight.
Busy Summer Celebrations
There is a full slate of activities scheduled this Summer. Homecoming weekend and parade this Saturday; Solomon Valley Raceway Derby MAYhem on May 27th; 8-Man Football Rally in downtown Beloit on June 7th from 4-6; 8-man Football games on June 9th; WaKonda Springs Indian Festival on July 21 & 22; St. John's Harvest Festival July 28; the 1 in 100 Fundraiser August 18th at the Beloit Country Club; and 2nd Annual Bridal Fair October 7th at the Beloit Municipal Building. 
It's great to have so many things to keep us busy and promote our community and our businesses. There are many more great events. We hope to keep you posted on what is going on throughout the summer on our Facebook page for the Beloit Area Chamber of Commerce.

New Shop Beloit Bags On Their Way
The new Shop Beloit Bags have been ordered and are on their way. We hope to have the bags ready in time for the downtown 8-Man All Stars Football Rally. This year the bags will be bright yellow with a new Shop Beloit logo and the names of participating merchants printed on them.
8-Man All Stars Football Rally
The 27th Annual Kansas 8-Man All-Star Football Games are scheduled for Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Trojan Field in Beloit, KS, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The Beloit Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Pep Rally & Feed for the teams on Thursday evening, June 7, between 4 - 6 p.m., in downtown Beloit.
All 80 players plus coaches will be downtown signing autographs. They will also be treated to a free meal. There will be kid's games including a jump-house, football toss, and more.
The Chamber has asked the Downtown businesses to decorate outside their businesses with the 8-man team colors, which are GREEN, GOLD, RED, AND BLUE.

Bridal Show October 7th
The Beloit Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that planning is underway for Beloit's 2nd Annual Bridal Fair. We would love to showcase your business to local brides and grooms! The show will be at the Beloit Municipal Building on Sunday, October 7th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a Bridal Fashion Show at 3:00 p.m. All booths will be on the main floor of the Beloit Municipal Building.

Office Closed
