Kevin Wissman / Otis-Bison is a 2010 graduate of Otis-Bison High School. Kevin's future plans are to attend college. Football honors include being selected 1st team all state quarterback; 4 year letterman; league 1st team defense, Hays Daily News Offensive Player of the Year. Otis-Bison was CPL league champs, district and bi-district champs in 2009. Accomplishments in other sports include being selected 1st team league, 1st team Golden Belt and 1st team Hays area wide in basketball. Kevin is a member of CYO and enjoys sports. Activities and honors in school include SADD board member, stuco president, KAYS treasurer, KSHSAA student advisor team and NHS vice president. He is the son of Robert and Sharon Wissman, Albert.
Garrett Dreiling / Victoria is a 2010 graduate of Victoria High School. Garrett's future plans are to attend Fort Hays State University. Victoria was state champions Eight Man Div II 2006, regional runner ups in 2007, state runner up Div II 2008 and sub-state runner-up 2009. Tyler Bruton / Burrton is a 2010 graduate of Burrton High School. Tyler's future plans are to attend McPherson College and play football and run track. Football statistics and accomplishments include 583 career tackles, 5 sacks, 24 forced fumbles, 9 fumble recoveries, 3 defensive TD's, 5 Int., 390 carries, 2415 yds., 6.2 yds a carry, 21 TD's. He completed 41 of 110 passes for 564 yds, 6 TD's and 11 ints. He also had 101 catches for 809 yds and 5 TD's with 38 returns for 995 yds and 1 TD. He was selected 1st tam all league linebacker, running back and special teams and was a 3 time all state honorable mention linebacker. Tyler was the team captain for 2 years. In other sports Tyler was a member of the 2006-07, 2008-09 and 2009-10 basketball team that was league champs. He was a 4 time letter winner and team captain 1 year. Tyler was a state track participant in the 4x100, long jump and triple jump. He has helped with Burrton Recreation, basketball clinics, flag football, served as scorekeeper for kids' recreational league basketball and was an announcer for junior high football. Hobbies include lifting weights, sports and video games. Honors in school include: Kansas Honor Scholar, member of National Honor Society, Wendy's Heisman State Finalist, honor student, scored exemplary in reading, math, writing and science state assessments. Garrett Somerhalder / Haviland is a 2010 graduate of Haviland High School. Garrett plans to attend college and play football. Football accomplishments include junior year-2nd team center, 2nd team lienbacker; senior year-1st team linebacker. Haviland made it to the playoffs in 2009. Garett was a starter in basketball his senior year. He works on a farm and enjoys hanging out with friends. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Somerhalder, Mullinville.
Brenton Turner / Quivira Heights is a 2010 graduate of Quivira Heights High School. Brenton plans to join the US Marines. Football honors and statistics include junior: All League Offensive/Defensive Lineman, All District Offensive/Defensive Lineman; senior: All league Offensive Lineman, Linebacker; All District Offensive Lineman, Linebacker; All State Third team Linebacker. Quivira Heights was sub-state runner up in 2007; regional runner up in 2008 and state runner up in 2009. He was in track 3 years and placed 2nd at regionals in the javelin, qualifying for state. Brenton enjoys football and was a member of KAYS in high school. Taylor Pearce / Sharon Springs is a 2010 graduate of Wallace County High School. Taylor's future plans are to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy or K-State and major in engineering. Football statistics and honors include: junior year 79 carries for 754 yards (9.54 average), 13 TDs, 86 total tackles, WKLL 2nd team defense, honorable mention running back, senior year team co-captain; senior year: 111 carries for 1206 yards (10.87 yd average), 21 TD's, 86 total tackles, 41 yd average for kickoff returns. He was named to the Hays Daily News All Area 8-Man Team. Wallace County was 2006 WKLL runner-up and regional champions with a 11-1 record; 2007: WKLL champions and state champions with a 13-0 record; 2008: WKLL champions, district champions with a 7-3 record and 2009: WKLL runner up and district runner up with a 7-3 record. Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: 06-07: 5th in the 1600m relay at state track, 4th in squat at state powerlifting; 07-08: 2nd in 1600m relay at state track, 2st in clean and 1st in squat at KEMFA State Powerlifting; 08-09: 1st in clean KEMFA sate powerlifting; 09-10: basketball co-captain. Jacob Ingham / Quivira Heights is a 2010 graduate of Quivira Heights High School. Kyle plans to go to college, play football and major in psychology or athletic training. Football honors and statistics include 2,100 career receiving yards, 46 TD's. He holds the season school record of 1,074 receiving yards and game school record of 216 yds passing. Quivira Heights was sub-state runner up in 2007, regional runner up in 2008 and state runner up in 2009. Jacob was selected All State in track in 2009 and Quivira Heights was basketball sub state runner up. He enjoys hunting and fishing and was a member of KAYS, NHS, homecoming candidate and was selected student of the week. He is the son of David and Kim Ingham, Chase.
Tate Andrews / Sharon Springs is a 2010 graduate of Wallace County High School. Tate's future plans are to attend Kansas State University and play football. Nolan Dreiling / Pawnee Heights is a 2010 graduate Pawnee Heights High School. Nolan's future plans are undecided. Career football accomplishments include 2006: selected SPIAA All League, 1st team, kicker; 2007: SPIAA All League 2nd team punter; district eight man division I 2nd team, kicker; 2008: SPIAA All League 1st team defensive end, 1st team defensive linebacker, 2nd team punter; 2009: SPIAA All League 1st team offensive end, 1st team defensive linebacker, 2nd team punter. In 2006 Pawnee Heights was undefeated; 2007: sub-state runner-up and 2008 regional runner-up. In other sports in 2006 Nolan was a member of the varsity basketball team and received the Top Rebounder Award (coaches award). In 2007 he was selected All League SPIAA all league honorable mention in basketball and placed 5th in the long jump and 4th place in the javelin at the state track meet. In 2008 he was selected All League SPIAA 1st team in basketball, placed first at the state track meet in the long jump, javelin and 5th place in the shot put and set the school record in the long jump. Pawnee Heights was the Kansas team champions in powerlifting. Nolan is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dodge City Diocese Youth Council, Big Brothers/Big Sisters. In 2008 he was selected for track and field in Australia with the International Sports Specialists, Inc.
Nolan is a volunteer at the local movie theater that is operated solely by volunteers. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing video games and watching ESPN. Activities and honors in school include 2006: Academic Olympics, band and perfect attendance; 2007: class vice-president, KAYS, band, almost perfect attendance; 2008: KAYS, perfect attendance; 2009: KAYS, football homecoming candidate, football homecoming king, Rachel's Challenge (selected by school staff to represent the school). Mark Spare / Ashland is a 2010 graduate of Ashland High School. Mark plans to attend college and major in math or secondary math education. Mark was a four year starter. Ashland was SPIAA co-champions in 2007, district runner up in 2007; undefeated regular season in 2009, district and league champs. Isaac Broeckelman / Golden Plains is a 2010 graduate of Golden Plains High School. Isaac plans to attend Fort Hays State University, majoring in networking communications. Football statistics and accomplishments inlcude: 177 rushes for 1445 yds, 8.16 yds per carry, 144.5 yds per game, 18 TDs. He was selected 1st team all league running back, 1st all area Hays Daily News running back, honorable mention All State RB Topeka Capital Journal. Golden Plains was bi-district runner up in 2008; undefeated league champ and undefeated district champ in 2009. Isaac was a state track participant. He was a FHSU Math Relays participant, Cougar Math Meet multiple events winner and participates in Big Brothers/Big Sisters. He enjoys sports, dancing, singing and fishing. Jake Kizzar / Chase is a 2010 graduate of Chase High School. Jake's future plans are to attend Garden City Community College and play football. Football accomplishments and statistics include: 2008: 93 yds on 128 carries for 17 TD's; 2009: 1406 yds on 78 carries, 25 TDs. He was selected all district and all league in 2008 and 2009, and all state in 2009. Jake set the single game rushing record with 613 yds on 32 carries against Burrton and had 11 TD's in the game. He only played 5 games due to an injury. Jake was a long jump and 4x100 qualifier in the state track meet. He coached little league baseball to the state tournament. Hobbies include riding 4 wheelers, playing golf, working out, fishing, paintball, and coaching little league baseball. Activities and honors in school include C-Club president 2 years, all league runningback junior and senior year, honorable defensive line senior year. He is the son of Tom and Tammy Kizzar, Chase.

Tyler Bailey / Pawnee Heights is a 2010 graduate of Pawnee Heights High School. Tyler plans to attend college. Pawnee Heights was sub-state runner up in 2007 with an undefeated junior varsity; SPIAA champs and regional runner up in 2008. Jesus Perez / Fowler is a 2010 graduate of Fowler High School. Jesus plans to attend Wichita State University and major in criminal justice. Football honors include lettering three years, second team running back senior year. Logan Stephens / Wheatland-Grinnell is a 2010 graduate of Wheatland High School. Logan plans to attend Dodge City Community College and play football. While playing at Wheatland, Logan rushed for 1059 yds on 176 attempts. He scored 12 rushing touchdowns, caught 16 passes for 265 yds. and 3 TD's. He also made 81 tackles. He participated in the state cross country meet his freshman and senior year and the state track meet in the 400, triple jump, 4x4 and 4x8 his junior year. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and CYO and likes to play the guitar and ride motorcycles. Activities and honors in school include STUCO, football, basketball and track four years and cross country two years. Logan's parents are Loren and Teresa Stephens, Grinnell.

Matt Scripsick / Ashland has been chosen as the head coach for the 8 Man Division II West Squad 8 Man All Star Football Game. Matt Scripsick graduated from Attica HS in 1995 and from NWOSU in 2000 with a degree in secondary math. He and wife, Stacy, have been married for 7 years and have 2 boys, Kaleb (5 years old) and Kooper (3 years old). Matt has taught at Ashland High School for ten years where he has been the head football coach the last 5 years and was previously the assistant coach for 5 years. His overall record is 30-17 with 2 play-off appearances. Matt has coached in the K101 Classic Bowl in Woodward, OK and this is his second time to coach in the 8-Man All Star Game. Matt will speak at the KSHSAA Topeka Coaches Clinic in August. He played in the all star game in 1995. He has received the math teaching job along with the head football position at Southwestern Heights High School.
Travis Starr / Otis-Bison has been chosen as an assistant coach for the 8 Man Division II West Squad 8 Man All Star Football Game. Coach Travis Starr graduated from Chase High School in 1999 and spent one year playing football at McPherson College before earning a Sports Management/Health-Physical Educa-tion degree from Kansas University. He has taught at Otis-Bison for the past five years and serves as the 6-12 Health/Physical Education Teacher, High School Track Coach, and High School Football Coach. In his first 5 seasons the Otis-Bison Cougars have had a combined record of 22-25. The 2009 squad posted a 10-1 record earning them their first appearance in the playoffs in 7 years. Travis and his wife Lisa have been married for 2 years and have a 4 month old son, Marcus.
Stephen Hokanson / Bucklin has been chosen as an assistant coach for the 8 Man Division II West Squad 8 Man All Star Football Game. Stephen Hokanson graduated from Coldwater High in 1988. He was a starter on the 1985 state championship football team. Stephen played football and participated in track & field at DCCC 88-90. He graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 1992 with a BS is Business Management while throwing for their track & field team. He played several years of Semi-pro football for the Lynchburg Jaguars, Springfield Rifles, Tri-City Marshals, and Wichita Aztecs. Stephen was assistant coach with Matt Scripsick at Ashland under the legend Lance Vandaveer for the 2002, 2003 seasons and was ssistant under Van Kenton at Bucklin in 2004. He has been head coach for Bucklin from 2005 to present. Lance teaches Business, Computers, Yearbook, and is FCA sponsor at Bucklin. He is also the head HS girls basketball coach, head JH track and assistant HS track coach. He has been married to Jane for 15 years. They have a daughter, Tricia, who is 9 years old.
