Cecilia Hyman, 87

Cecilia Hyman passed away Sunday, January 17th, 2021, at the age of 87. She was born November 17th, 1933, to Joseph and Helen (Weigel) Weber in Victoria, Kan.
Cecilia grew up on a farm north of Victoria until the age of twelve, when her and her family moved to a farm south of Beloit. Cecilia had eight siblings, six brothers and two sisters.
Cecilia married David L. Hyman on August 22nd, 1955. To this union three children were born, a boy, Monty, and two daughters, Nancy and Karen.
Cecilia is survived by her daughter, Karen Zachgo of Manhattan, Kan.; her grandson, Alex Jensen of Hunter, Kan.; her granddaughter, Olivia and husband, Jordan Seirer of Manhattan, Kan.; and her three great-granddaughters, Korbyn and Adilyn Jensen and Magnolia Seirer. Cecilia is also survived by her brother, Norman Weber and sister-in-laws, Winnie Mae Weber, Judy Weber, and Barb Hyman. Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her infant daughter, Nancy, and infant son, Monty. Cecilia is also preceded in death by her sisters, Dorinda and Mildred, and brothers, Linus, Marcellus, Leroy, Donnie, and Bill.
While her greatest profession would always be raising her family, Cecilia also spent many years hanging wallpaper and cleaning community buildings. Her hobbies included cooking (way too much food), gardening, and playing cards. She loved watching her grandkids and attending all of their various events. Her infectious smile will always be remembered.
Family-only funeral services will be at 10 AM Thursday, January 21, at the St. John's Catholic Church & will be live-streamed. Visitation will be from 1-7 PM Wednesday at the Roberts Family Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to St. John's Catholic Church or Alzheimer & Dementia Research.
