James "Jim" Merle Stolzenburg, 73

James "Jim" Merle Stolzenburg, 73, Clyde, Kansas, entered eternal rest April 18, 2021 at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kansas.
Jim was born to Ellen and (Loy) Eldon Stolzenburg in 1947. He graduated from Agenda High School, attended Beloit Vo-Tech to study HVAC, then entered into the Air Force where he was stationed in Mountain Home, Idaho. He married MaryMar Mitchell in 1968. To this union were blessed two boys, Jay and Mark.
He made a living by working for many years in auto repair in Clyde and parts delivery and sales. He and MaryMar owned and operated the service station in Clyde in the 1980s. Jim was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his sons and their families as well as his brother and his families. He wanted to make sure his sons knew from where they came and rarely missed a family reunion or holiday celebration. His vacation spot of choice was camping at the Kansas State Fair. One of his favorite family hobbies was stock car racing which was is his blood and has been passed down to his sons and grandson. Countless hours were spent since 1976 building and racing the #5 car. He raced at numerous tracks in Nebraska and Kansas, spending most of his race nights at Salina Speedway which he considered his home track.
Following the death of his beloved MaryMar, Jim married Dianna McDaniel in 2013. They enjoyed going to car races, and spending time with their families.
Survivors include his wife, Dianna of the home; son Jay and his wife, Susan of Salina; son Mark and his wife, Michelle of McPherson; brother Don and his wife Lana of Ames, Kansas. Grandchildren, Jared, Shelby, Kylie, Gage, Vin, Cam, Dash and Sophia and great granddaughter, Riley; numerous nieces and nephews; stepson, Eric and his wife Kristy of Concordia; stepson Jeff of Clyde; stepson Ryan and his wife, Connie of Clay Center, seven step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, MaryMar, and stepson, Chad.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 1 PM to 8 PM at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia, Kansas. Family will greet friends from 6-8 PM.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas, with Pastors Melanie Adams and Earl Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Clyde or Concordia Ambulance Fund c/o Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
