Gregory Arthur Doyle, 74, Topeka, Kansas, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021.
Greg was born February 18, 1947, in Beloit, Kansas, to Philip and Opal Webb Doyle. He graduated from St. John's High School in 1965 and earned his bachelor's degree from K-State in 1970. On February 7, 1970, Greg and Deborah Ann Davies were united in marriage enjoying more than 51 years together.
Greg was an engineering technician at KDOT for 41 years, retiring in 2011. He was a farmer at heart, growing up on a third-generation family farm. He loved being outdoors and loved harvesting. He was a huge K-State fan and a long-time football season ticket holder. Greg loved being a grandfather and coloring Easter eggs with the grandchildren was one of their special activities. Greg was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved his family dearly and they loved him. He will be greatly missed.
Grateful to have shared his life are his wife, Debbie; children, Adam Doyle (Angela), Shelby Gill (Matt) and Erin Mann (Kai); grandchildren, Carter, Delanie and Hallie Gill and soon to be born, Ashlynn Mann; brother, Brian Doyle (Alice); brothers and sisters-in-law, Becky Davies (Sharon Bean), Gina Overton (Tony), Cindy Locke (John) and Scott Davies (Beth); and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Greg was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Diana and her husband, Mike Clegg, his father-in-law, Frank Davies, mother-in-law, Angela Falting (Don), and sister-in-law, Denise.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka, KS 66614.
The rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:30 at the Church. Inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to American Cancer Society or Down Syndrome Guild of Kansas City and sent in care of the funeral home.
