Lois Mae Hammond, age 91, entered into rest on Monday, January 17, 2022 at the Cloud County Health Center in Concordia, Kansas. She was born September 26, 1930 to Cecil (Red) and Alice (Nordquist) Houdashelt.
She graduated from Agenda High School in May of 1948. She married Howard Thomas Hammond on June 10, 1948 in Newton, Kansas. Lois was a homemaker. Lois also worked for Park Villa Nursing Home and Belleville Health Care Center as a Med-Aide for 30 years until her retirement.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Agenda, Kansas.
Lois enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and working as a volunteer making crafts. Most of all Lois enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and keeping up with their lives.
She is survived by her three grandsons, Brad Hammond (Mitzi), Skiatook, Oklahoma, Jeff Hammond (Shari), Lee's Summit, Missouri, and Jarad Hammond (CJ), Clyde, Kansas; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler, Maddison, Jack, Marlee, Chase, Carson, Mylee; and Brian's wife, Debbie, Concordia, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, her parents, and son, Brian.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2022 with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Chaput Mortuary, Clyde, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the United Methodist Church, Agenda, Kansas, with Pastor Sang Hak Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Manning Cemetery, Agenda.
