David L. Lynch, 67, passed away peacefully at his home south of Simpson, Kansas, on May 10, 2022. He was born October 27, 1954 at the Mitchell County Hospital to Edwin and Betty Lynch.
He was a 1972 graduate of Beloit High School and NCK Vo-Tech welding program before enlisting in the United States Army; he completed his military career as a Sergeant E5.
David married Patricia Reich while they were both stationed at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. To this union two children were born, Regina and David Patrick.
He provided for his family working as Human Resource Manager at Sunflower Manufacturing and PKM Steel. David followed in his grandfather's footsteps both farming and serving as the Postmaster at Simpson Post Office.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Dorothea Grittman.
David is survived by his wife, Patricia Lynch; his children, Regina (Shawn) Lynch, David Patrick (Elizabeth) Lynch; his grandchildren, Zane (Destiny) Jones, Winry Lynch; great-granddaughter, Leonna Jones; and siblings, Lynn (Lance) Brock and Mark Lynch.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 12, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with family present at Schoen Funeral Home, Beloit, Kansas.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Mitchell County, Kansas.
