Phyllis A. Kearn, age 69, entered into rest on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, Kansas. She was born on January 7, 1953 in Concordia, Kansas, to Byron and Neva (Owens) Vignery.
Phyllis was a 1971 graduate of Concordia High School.
On January 9, 1971 she married Ralph D. Kearn in Concordia, Kansas. They were united in marriage for 51 years.
Phyllis was a school bus driver and custodian for USD #333 for 47 years
She was a past member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #1278 in Concordia, Kansas.
Phyllis enjoyed reading, traveling, bingo, and going to the casinos. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph Kearn, Concordia, Kansas; son, Phillip "PJ" Kearn (Jill), Concordia, Kansas; daughter, Amanda "Mandy" McDaniel, Concordia, Kansas; son, James Kearn, San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren, Allissa, Zakary, Kelsey, Jessica, Katie, Kira, Alex, and two great-grandchildren, Raelynn and Hatcher; her two sisters, Debbie Bullock (Louis), Grey Eagle, Minnesota, and Katie Phelps, Ponca City, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jason and Darrell; and her two sisters, Judy Freeman and Pamela Parker.
There will be no visitation.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life service will be held 12:30 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022 at the American Legion, Concordia, Kansas. Burial of cremains will take place in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas at a later time.
