Jerome "Jerry" Eilert, 80

Jerome "Jerry" Joseph Eilert, 80, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 in Beloit, Kansas. He was born February 4, 1942 to Joseph and Monica (Mans) Eilert in Beloit, Kansas. He attended first through eighth grades at Plum Creek (country) School followed by high school graduation from St. John's Catholic School. He served six months on active duty as part of the Army Reserves Enlistment and spent four years in the reserve program. Jerry attended the Park School of Business in Denver, Colorado, graduating in February 1963. He also attended Fort Hays State University. He later worked in the offices of Graves Van Lines out of Salina, Kansas, before joining the First National Bank of Beloit in 1966 and retiring in 2007. In addition, Jerry farmed his entire life.
Jerry was united in marriage to Mary K. (Brock) on August 6, 1966. To that union, four children were born. In addition to being a devoted member of St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church, he was also a member of the Lions Club, Knights of Columbus, and Cornerstone Charitable Foundation. Jerry was a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Jerry is survived by his wife, Mary K. (Brock) Eilert, and children, Doug (Beth) Eilert of Beloit, Brian (Sheri) Eilert of Beloit, Lori (Jeff) Mann of Kansas City and Stephen (Ruth) Eilert of Kansas City. He is also survived by brother Ron (Bernice) Eilert and sister Sharon Allphin, both of Beloit. Grandchildren include Meg (Joe) Malone, Luke (Kate) Eilert, Mason Eilert, Elle Eilert, Dominic Eilert, Kolbe Eilert, Andrew Eilert, Logan (fiancé Drew Gregory) Eilert, Emily Eilert, Daniel Eilert, Liz Mann, Jarod Mann, Blake Eilert, Riley Eilert, and great-grandson Max Malone. Additional survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Saturday, November 12, at the former Dollar General building at 3053 U.S. Highway 24.
Visitation will be from 1-4 PM Friday, November 11, at the Roberts Family Funeral Home, and a rosary service will be at 7 PM Friday at the former Dollar General building.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Cornerstone Charitable Foundation or the St. John's Church Restoration Project.
