Joanna Kay Rhodes, 45

Joanna Kay Rhodes 45, of Cawker City, Kansas, died December 9, 2022. She was born to Gregory and Rachel Ramer on February 14, 1977 in Goshen, Indiana.
After attending the Culinary Institute of America in Denver, she went on to work at several restaurants in the Denver area and later as an Assistant Manager for King Soopers. Following her move to Cawker City she worked full-time as Head Cook at Lakeside High School in Downs and as a cook at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.
Joanna enjoyed volunteering as a "Food and Food Preservation" judge at the Osborne County Fair, crafting, video games, going to rock concerts, and swimming at local pools and Wilson Lake with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Chris Rhodes; her two daughters, Linden Dusty Rhodes and Kelsi Lundblade; son, Bennett Closset; mother, Rachel Ramer; brothers, Daniel Ramer and Paul Ramer; and mother-in-law, Jonni Jones.
She was also a proud aunt of two nephews, Cole and Caleb. She was preceded in death by her father, Gregory Ramer.
A visitation with her family will be held at Domoney Funeral Home on Sunday, January 29, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Her family invites anyone who knew her to attend.
Her internment will be a private service in Evergreen, Colorado, with only close family members present.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or Breast Friends of Osborne and Mitchell County.
