The meeting began with a thirty-minute executive session including the Councilors and Marla Slentjen, the recruitment specialist with the Austin-Peters Group. This thirty-minute session was extended for another fifteen minute period.
When the regular business session resumed, it was announced the City Council would interview three candidates for the City Manager's job. One candidate will be interviewed on Wednesday, July 26, and two interviews will be conducted on Friday, July 28.
Ms. Slentjen expressed optimism that the position would be filled by Labor Day as originally planned.
