Garry J. Huncovsky, 76

Garry J. Huncovsky was born on May 8, 1947 in Belleville, Kansas, the son of Donald E. Huncovsky and Juanita J. (Resco) Huncovsky. He grew up on the Huncovsky family farm and attended the Agenda grade and high school graduating with the class of 1965.
Garry married S. Lynne Colvin on Sunday, June 7, 1970, in Ellinwood, Kansas. To this union two children were born. Christine Huncovsky, Manhattan, Kansas, and Todd Huncovsky (Amy), Agenda, Kansas. He is survived by his five grandkids and two great-grandkids, Cole Huncovsky, Agenda, Kansas, Cade Huncovsky (Mariah), Mankato, Kansas, Sydney Huncovsky, Agenda, Kansas, Maycee Callihan, Agenda, Kansas, and Mallory Callihan, Agenda, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Ryder and Ridge Huncovsky, Mankato, Kansas. Garry is also survived by his extended family, including nieces, a nephew, great-nieces, great-nephews and numerous cousins.
After 35 years, with his retirement from JBN Telephone Company, Garry and Lynne traveled to LaFeria, Texas every winter. They loved spending time with all of their friends there and staying away from the cold Kansas winters. They sold their home in LaFeria on March 1, 2024, and traveled back to Kansas.
Garry was the life of the party. He loved to socialize with his family and friends. Every day was happy hour, when there was four in the Huncovsky home, there was always a fifth. He lived a long and happy life filled with joy and love. He will be dearly missed by everyone.
Garry was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Juanita Huncovsky of Agenda, Kansas; his in-laws, Bill and Norma Colvin of Ellinwood, Kansas; and brother in-law, Bruce Colvin of Fort Davis, Texas.
He will forever be remembered by his wife and family. Garry is also survived by his sister, Donnis Coffman (Bill) of Agenda, Kansas, and Barbara Cook (Keith) of Belleville, Kansas; and his aunt, Shirley Racette of Salina, Kansas.
Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the United Methodist Church, Agenda, Kansas, with Pastor Amos McCarthy, officiating.
Private burial will be held at a later date at the Agenda Cemetery, Agenda, Kansas.
Friends may sign the register book from 1 PM until 6 PM on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, 1322 19th St., Belleville, Kansas, and prior to the service on Thursday at the Church.
Memorials are suggested to the Agenda United Methodist Church or Republic County EMS.
