8 Man Division II East Squad 2024

Beloit to host 39th Annual 8 Man All Star Games Saturday, June 8. The Division II All Star Game will be played at 1:30 p.m.

Brock Armstrong, Frankfort, has been selected for the Division II East team. His parents are Duke and Angie Armstrong.
Career football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: 1628 yards, 24 TD's, 131 tackles, 1 INT, 9.5 sacks, 17 tackles for loss 2nd Team All League Defense, Sports in Kansas 8 Man II All State an Top 100 Seniors, All Flint Hills 2nd Team Defensive Line, Wichita Eagle Honorable Mention All State Defensive Line, KEMFA All Star Game Selection.
In 2020 Frankfort was Co-District Champs, Regional Champs, Sectional Champs and Sub-State Runner-Up; 2021 & 2022 Regional Runner-Up; 2023 District Runner-UP, Regional Champs, Sectional Champs and Sub State Runnerup.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: 2023: Regional Track 4x100 Relay Champions, Twin Valley League 4x100 Relay Champions, 2022 State Track 8th Place 4x400.

Grady Buessing, 2024 graduate of Axtell High School, has been selected for the Division II West squad. His parents are Phillip and Stacie Buessing
He is 6'2" tall and weighs 190 pounds and played tight end and linebacker for Axtell.
High School football statistics include 218 career tackles, 18.5 tackles for a loss, 34 career touchdowns, 1,753 career rushing yards, 5 career interceptions, 1st Team All League Tight End and Linebacker 2022 and 2023, 1at team all state in 2022 and 2023, Kansas Pregame 8 man Division II top 8 seniors.
TEam achievements include: 3 time Division 2 District, Substate and State Champions 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: Individual State Track Champion 4x8, 800, 1600 TEam 1st place 3x State Cross Country medalist, 4th place state basketball tournament in 2023.
Activities and honors outside of school include member of the Michaels CYO Catholic Heart Work Camp, worked for REC.
Hobbies and interests include hiking and camping, weightlifting, geography and movies.

He is a 2024 graduate of Axtell High School and plans to attend SCC in Milford for John Deere Truck. His parents are Dale and Erika Buessing.
Axtell was undefeated state champions in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include 4th State Basketball in 2023.

Wyatt Collins, Canton-Galva, has been selected for the Division II East Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Canton Galva High School.
His parents are Jeff and Natalie Collins and Jay and Jennifer Hertel.
His future plans are to be a welder after high school.
Career football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: 2022: All State Honorable Mention (Offensive & Defensive Line);2023 Wheat State League (WSL) 1st Team Offense; 2023: All State Honorable Mention End; Team Co-Captain.
Team accomplishments include 2020 & 2022 WSL League Champions, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, District Champions; 2020, 2021 and 2022 Regional Champions; and 2021 and 2022 Sectional Champions.
In 2023 Wyatt was Regional champion in discus and shot put and placed 6th at state in the discus.
Wyatt enjoys playing basketball and video games and deer hunting.

Sawyer Deters, Axtell High School, has been selected for the Division II East Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Axtell High School and is 6'2" tall and weights 270 pounds.
His offensive position is guard defensive position is defensive line.
He plans to attend Concordia University, Nebraska, while doing track and field.
His father is Matt Deters and his mother is Rachel Deters.
Eric Detweiler was his high school coach.
Sawyer had 141 career tackles, 2 deflected passes, 7.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries, 125 tackles for a loss.
He was selected All State Offensive and Defensive Line.
TEam achievements include 3 times League, District, Regional, Sub-State and State Champions.

Activities and honors outside of school include Pony Express Track Club and Knights of Columbus member.

Daniel Fewins, Marmaton Valley High School, has been selected for the Division II East Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Marmaton Valley High School.
He is 5'10" tall and weighs 255 pounds. His offensive position is guard and his defensive position is defensive line.
His future plans are to travel and work at a nuclear plant. Danny Fewins and Melissa Fewins are his parents.
Career football statics, accomplishments and honors include 54 tackles, 6 tackles for a loss, and 5 sacks; First Team All District Offensive and Defensive Line 2023; 1st Team All-League Defensive Line 2023; Honorable Mention All State (Wichita Eagle).
Marmaton Valley had 3 playoff appearances, League Champions in 2023 and District Runner-Up in 2023.
Daniel lettered in basketball and baseball.
He works at the tire shop, welding.

Nathan Goheen, Osborne, has been selected for the Division II East team. He is a 2024 graduate of Osborne High School and his high school coach was Steve Tiernan.
He was wide receiver and linebacker for the team.
Team achievements include 2022 District Champions, Regional Champions, Sectional runner-up (9-2).
He was student council president 2023 & 2024, Stuco Treasurer, Homecoming King, and on the yearbook staff.
Activities and honors outside of school include 4-H 10 years 4-H Council, Osborne Chamber volunteer, Osborne Alumni street flags.
He enjoys hunting and fishing.
Future plans include HVAC.

Levi Griffeth, Hanover, has been chosen for the Division II East Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Hanover High School and plans to get a commercial real estate license.
His parents are Billy Griffith and Heather Smith.
His high school football coach was Matt Heuer.
Team achievements include; 2020 DII State Champions with an undefeated season.
In 2022 Hanover was state runner-up in basketball.
Levi qualified for the Major League Fishing High School Bass Championship.
Hobbies and interests include tournament bass fishing, creating fishing lures and working construction.
He was Student Council President 2022-2023.

Doak Guttery has been selected for the Division II East Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Osborne High School. His future plans are to study Animal Science at Kansas State University. His parents are Brice and Shana Guttery.
Career football stats include 2021: Honorable Mention All State Quarterback, 2nd team NPL League Linebacker, 1st Team All District Linebacker, 2022: All State Quarterback, 1st Team NPL League Quarterback and Defensive End, 1st Team All District Quarterback and Defensive End; 2023: 1st Team All District Right End. Team Achievements include: 2022 & 2023 District Champs & Regional Champs and Runner-Up Sectional. The team had a 9-2 record in 2022 & 2023.

Chance Jermark, St. John's/Tipton High School, has been selected for the Division I team.
He is a 2024 graduate of St. John's High School in Beloit and plans to attend NCK Technical College in Hays for Automotive Technology.
He as a linebacker and runningback for the Blujays who reached the State Playoffs all 4 years of his high school career.
In 2021 he was Sports in Kansas Tackle Leader and District Honorable Mention Linebacker, Runningback and Kick Returner.
In 2022 he was Division II All State Honorable Mention Linebacker, Sports in Kansas Tackle Leader, KSHSAA Covered All-NPL 1st Team Linebacker, 2nd Team Runningback, & Kick Returner; District 4 1st Team Kick Returner, Northern Plains League All-NPL 1st Team Linebacker, nd Team Return Specialist and Honorable Mention Runningback. In 2023 he was KSHSAA All State 1st Team Linebacker, Top 100 Senior; Sports in Kansas All State 1st Team Linebacker; Sports in Kansas Tackle and Sack Leader.
In District 4 he was 1st Team Linebacker and Kick Returner and 2nd Team Runningback.

Wyatt Keller, Frankfort High School, has been selected for the Division II East team. His high school football coach was Nick Anderson.
He is a 2024 graduate of Frankfort High School,
He is 6 foot tall and weighs 197 pounds. He was a linebacker and guard on his high school team.
Team achievements include Sub State in 2023 and Sectional Champs in 2023.
Wyatt's hobbies are farming and working.

Zackary is 6'4" tall and weights 280 pounds. His offensive position was defensive line.

Lane McMannis, Canton-Galva, will play for the II East Squad. His parents are Josh McMannis.
He is 5'11" tall, weighs 153 pounds and was runningback and Linebacker.
His future plans are Agribusiness and Rodeo.
Football statistics and honors include: Sophomore year: 55.5 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and an interception
Junior year: 53.5 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 4 interceptions, and defensive TD, carried ball 42 times for 373 yards and 6 TDs.
Senior year: 1st Team All League runningback and linebacker and special teams, first team all state runningback, all state honorable mention kick returns, Sports in Kansas Top 100 in All Classes.
Team achievements: 2021 finished 9-2, losing to Little River in semi finals; 2022: Finished as sub-state runner-up going 11-1 with the only loss being to Axtell, 8 man II Champions that year 2023: Finished 8-2 losing to Frankfort in post season.
Honors and accomplishments: 2021: State track qualifier in 4x400 relay; 2022: State track qualifier in 200m dash, 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, and 4x100m meter relay; were state champions, setting new Wheat State League and Canton-Galva school records; Lane placed 3rd in 300m hurdles.
Activities and honors outside of school include: 2022-23 and 2023-24, 1A representative to the Kansas High School Activities Association Advisory Team; 2022 Kansas State High School Rodeo Association State Finals - 2nd place finals average winner in team roping; 2023: Kansas State High School Rodeo Association State Finals - 3rd place 5th place year end finisher in calf roping; 2023: Qualifier to theCentral Plains Rodeo Association finals in calf roping.

Career football statistics include: 16 carries for 117 yards, 12 interceptions for 227 yards, 4 TD's, 43 tackles, 2 interceptions for 1 TD, 456 kickoff return yards (1 TD), 58 punt return yards (1TD), Honorable Mention All District Wide receiver, 1st Team All District Defensive Back, 1st Team All District Returner (unanimous) 1st team Three Rivers Defensive Back, Honorable Mention Three Rivers League Returner.
In other sports he was a State Qualifier in track 4x100.
Hobbies and interests include hanging out with his girlfriend.
He was chosen for the All Academic Humboldt Pre-Season Tournament.

Grayson Shoemaker, Lebo, has been selected for the Division II East squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Lebo High School and plans to play basketball and major in Physical Performance and Sports Studies at Southwestern College.
His parents are Garrett and Kylea Shoemaker.
Lakin was Regional and District Champs in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
In 2022 he was selected All League HM and in 2023 All LCL 2nd Team and all State HM.
Lebo was District and Regional Champions in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
In basketball he was all league Honorable Mention and All LCL 2nd team and All State Honorable Mention.
Hobbies and interests include coaching youth basketball.
Academic and activity honors include NHS member, Stuco Class Rep, FCCLA and FBLA.

Career football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: All League Honorable mention junior year, All League senior year, Top 100 honorable mention for seniors, 1942 rushing yards, 215.8 average rushing per game senior year, 53 total touchdowns, 2971 career rushing yards.
Honors in other sports include All League Basketball 2022/2023 season, State Champion Junior League baseball 2023.
Activities and honors outside of school include working and hanging out with friends.

Riley was a member of the National Honor Society, FFA President and Honor Flight Guardian.
Activities and honors outside of school include 4-H Vice President, Catholic Youth Ministry and USA Powerlifting.
