Andrew J. Pumphrey, 38

Andrew John Pumphrey was born January 16, 1986, the fourth of five children to Paul and June (Baird) Pumphrey. He was baptized at St. John's Catholic Church. Surrounded by love and affection, he developed an adventuresome spirit and orneriness. Andrew also embraced an outdoorsman spirit common to Jewell County, and enjoyed the passion of hunting and fishing throughout his life. He was a member of the Mankato High School Class of 2004.
Andrew had a gift for the perfect tease, flowing from the way he could read a room and always wanted to bring a smile to faces. His laughter, smile and shining eyes will be missed by all who knew him.
After graduation, Andrew served in the U.S. Marines, with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Safely home, he utilized his experience in serving the community through the Volunteer Fire Department in Mankato and always tried to respond to all calls.
Andrew delighted in children and always wanted to be the favorite uncle. He was united in marriage to Hannah Allen on January 23, 2013, and to this union were born his special delight, his three daughters, Abigail, Avery and Hayden. He had high standards for them and loved them deeply, always encouraging them to grow and develop. Andrew's imagination made him well known for his wild ideas. He used endless energy pursuing his business ideas, taking risks and reaping the rewards.
