Donald Rowlison, age 64 of Beloit, Kansas, departed this life Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Select Specialty Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born Donald Eugene Rowlison to Harold and Rita Rowlison on August 10, 1960 in Salina, Kansas. As a small boy he lived on a farm outside of Delphos. In 1969, he moved to Beloit. He attended Beloit Jr. High, where he was involved in wrestling, as well as St. John's High School, and the bricklaying program at the NCK Vo-Tech. He graduated from high school in 1979. At the age of 16, he started working for Boogaarts Grocery Store, where he worked for 22 years. He later started working for the City of Beloit Power Plant in April, 1999.
Family was very important and he enjoyed his two granddaughters.
Don was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed all his friends and family. He was a huge sports fan, especially KU basketball and Kansas City Chiefs football.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Rita, and his brother, Darrel.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; two daughters, Laura and Megan; brother, Duane and his wife Dee of Loveland, Colorado; two special granddaughters, Addilyn May and Carly Rae; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Friday, October 25, at the St. John's Catholic Church in Beloit.
Visitation will be from 1 PM to 4 PM Thursday, October 24, at the Roberts Family Funeral Home, and a Rosary Service will be at 6 PM Thursday at the Church.
Memorials may be given to the St. John's Memorial Trust Fund, or the Rowlison Granddaughters Education Fund.
