Linda Aileen Doggett was born on June 21, 1949 in Beloit, Kansas, the daughter of Buff and Alberta Rasdall Melton. She died on Monday, December 2, 2024 at the Nicol Home in Glasco, Kansas, at the age of 75.
She grew up and attended school in Asherville before graduating from Beloit High School. Following graduation, she attended Brown Mackie Business School for a couple of years.
On February 9, 1969, she was united in marriage with Randy Doggett at the Baptist Church in Beloit. Two children, Kevin and Annette, were born to this union.
Linda worked at Hilltop Lodge for more than 25 years, where she greatly enjoyed helping the residents and shopping for them. She later worked at Zachary's Ace Hardware for more than 20 years.
In her free time, she loved to cook and work on craft projects. She also had a great collection of dolls.
She was a member of the I Go Club for many years, and was also a member of the Baptist Church and later the First Christian Church.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Terry Melton.
She is survived by her husband, Randy of the home; son, Kevin of Thornton, Colorado; daughter, Annette of Beloit; three grandchildren, Joey Krivanek, Domonick Krivanek and Aspen Martinez; a great-granddaughter, Violet Krivanek; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday, December 6, at the Roberts Family Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 PM to 7 PM, with family present from 6 PM to 7 PM Thursday, December 5, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice or the Nicol Home.
