Billy G. Coffman, the son of William Eugene Coffman and Edythe Inez (Harrison) Coffman, was born November 28, 1945 in Lake Charles, Louisiana and passed away on September 30, 2025 at his home in Agenda, Kansas at the age of 79 years.
Billy attended and graduated from Caney High School, Caney, Kansas. He then served with the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1970.
On July 17, 1966, he was united in marriage to Donnis Sue Huncovsky and to this union one son, Brian Eugene Coffman was born.
Billy was a former car salesman for Melton Motors in Belleville and later for Babe Houser Motor Company in Concordia, Kansas. He was an agent for Aflac Insurance for many years and later worked for the Republic County Sheriff's Office. Donnis and Billy also operated B & D Crafts in Belleville for a number of years.
Billy was a member of the Cherokee Nation and a member of American Legion Post #345, Cuba, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edythe Coffman; his sister, Linda D. Miller, and brother-in-law, Garry Huncovsky.
Billy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donnis S. Coffman, of rural Agenda, Kansas; one son, Brian E. (Rhonda) Coffman of Agenda, Kansas; 2 grandchildren, Gunner E. Coffman of Agenda, Kansas and Emily A. Coffman (Zach Zimmerman) of Plainville, Kansas; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Barbara and Keith Cook, of Belleville, Kansas, and sister-in-law, Lynne Huncovsky of Agenda, Kansas; other relatives and friends.
Cremation was selected and Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas with Waylon Sheetz, celebrant, officiating.
Casual attire is requested by the family.
Family inurnment will be held at a later time at the Agenda Cemetery, Agenda, Kansas.
Friends may sign the register book from 1 PM until 6 PM on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS. The family will not be present.
