Donna Sue Gaskill, 89 years of age, of Glasco, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, at her residence in Glasco, Kansas. She was born on April 21, 1936, in Beloit, Kansas to Lyle and Josie (Helmbrecht) Haskins.
Donna attended Scottsville Grade School during her youth and later would graduate from Beloit High School, Beloit, Kansas.
She married Frank Huber and to this union two daughters were born, Sherry and Brenda and two sons Dana and Frank . They later divorced. She then married Marvin Stortz and they later divorced. Donna then married Allan Gaskill, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2021. She held many secretarial roles in her lifetime at Southwestern Bell, Diebels Shoe Store, Caldwell Shoes, COOP, St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia High School, Cloud County Health Department and retired from Pawnee Mental Health.
Donna enjoyed gardening, flowers, family, shopping, feeding birds, and collecting the next latest trending item. She also enjoyed her purses, shoes, hats, scarves, and jewelry. Later in life she really enjoyed her shows that included Reba, The Price is Right, Deal or No Deal, Family Feud, and Wheel of Fortune. Donna also enjoyed her sweets where pie, ice cream, and Werther's original candies played an important role in her life.
She was a 50-year member of O.E.S. where she received a pin for her years of service. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, and was a previous member of the Scottsville and Concordia Presbyterian Churches.
Donna is survived by her two daughters, Sherry (Brad) Nelson and Brenda (John) Wisbey, her grandchildren, Mark (Starla) Nelson, Bret (Amanda) Nelson, Jay (Michelle) Wisbey, Andrea (Michael) Chaput, and her eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Gaskill, parents, Lyle & Josie Haskins, her two sons Dana and Frank Huber, a sister, Helen Maxine Linton, and a brother, David Haskins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Scottsville Community Church, Scottsville, Kanas with Pastor Al Paredes officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Scottsville Cemetery, Scottsville, Kansas.
