Elva Maydeen Hawkins, 93, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Smith County Memorial Hospital, Smith Center, KS.
Maydeen was born on May 2, 1932, in Smith Center, KS, the daughter of George and Anna (Heinschel) Libby. Maydeen married Duane Hawkins on August 22, 1954, and they had 57 wonderful years of marriage together. Maydeen and Duane were blessed with a son Jerry who was born on July 2, 1957, and passed away on June 9, 1998.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 113 S. Madison St., Smith Center, KS, with Pastor Lance McDowell officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Smith Center, KS. Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church, Smith Center, KS, and sent in care of the funeral chapel.
