Vernice C. Nondorf, 81

Vernice C. Nondorf, of Belleville, KS, the daughter of Orville F. Nondorf and Gloria C. (Peterka) Nondorf, was born April 14, 1944 in Belleville, Kansas and passed away on December 23, 2025 in Belleville at the age of 81.

Vernice attended Belleville schools until the second grade, moving to Courtland, Kansas where her parents ran a grocery store. Vernice attended Courtland Grade School and Courtland High School and then attended Brown Mackie School of Business in Salina, Kansas. She then worked at the Calvin-Haughey Clinic in Concordia, Kansas in the records department for 3 years. Vernice moved to Ventura, California and had her daughter, Staci, the most precious person in her life. Vernice then moved to Arvada, Colorado, working at St. Anthony's Hospital as a radiology receptionist in Denver, Colorado for 3 years. She later moved to Ft. Collins, Colorado, working at a doctor's office for six years. Vernice returned to Kansas in 1977, working at the Belleville Medical Clinic for 35 years, retiring as an insurance clerk.

Vernice enjoyed her family, daughter, grandchildren, and special friend, Roger Garlow. Vernice was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Gloria Nondorf; infant brother, Kenneth; daughter, Staci (Nondorf) Wynn; brother, Burton Nondorf; and brother-in-law, James Russell.

Vernice is survived by Grandson, Zackary Wynn of Loveland, Colorado; Granddaughter, Ashley Wynn of Denver, Colorado; son-in-law, Todd Wynn of Loveland, Colorado; sister, Verlee Russell of Ft. Collins, Colorado; friend, Roger Garlow (her rock) of Belleville, KS; Two nieces and two nephews; several great nieces and nephews & great great nieces and nephews; other relatives, and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas with Pastor Kathy Aeillo, officiating.

Inurnment will follow at the Courtland Cemetery, Courtland, Kansas.

Visitation and book signing will be held from 1 PM until 7 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home where the family will greet friends from 5 PM until 7 PM on Friday.
