Debby Anne McPherson, 67, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at her home in Lebanon, KS.
Debby was born on November 25, 1958, in Joplin, MO, the daughter of Glenn John and Lila Hester (Diemer) Rutherford. Debby married Frank McPherson on May 6, 2017, at the Jewel County State Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Kerry Joe Rust, husband Jim Carr, infant brother Charles Wayne Carson, brother Tim Rutherford, and a sister, Byrla Carson.
Debby is survived by her husband Frank McPherson of Lebanon; a daughter Glenda (Shane) Thompson of Beloit; one brother Terry Rutherford; two granddaughters, Justice (Chris) Batt of Ellenwood, Karmen (Logan) Kadel of Beloit; two step-granddaughters, Heather Thompson of Jewell, Haley (Jason) Nelson of Jewell County; a step-grandson Tristan Thompson of Nashville, TN; two great-great grandchildren, Reif Kadel and Cheyenne Batt and two step-great grandchildren Mallory and Grace Nelson.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2026, at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 113 S. Madison St., Smith Center, KS, with Pastor Jim Rice officiating. There will not be a public visitation as cremation was chosen. Private family inurnment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Smith Center, KS. Memorials may be given to the Debby Ann McPherson Memorial Fund and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
