Kenneth "Kenny" E. Marcotte, 81 years of age, of Clyde passed away Monday, June 22, 2026, at North Central Kansas Medical Center in Concordia. He was born on June 22, 1945, in Clyde, Kansas to Edmond and Geneva (Kinsvater) Marcotte.
Kenny was a 1963 graduate of Clyde High School, Clyde, Kansas.
Kenny married Christine Donnelly on June 6, 1964, at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Clyde, Kansas. They were united in marriage for 62 years. To this union three daughters were born, Cheryl, Ann and Brenda.
Kenny retired from Alstom where he worked in the office for many years, which was previously known as ABB Raymond, Combustion Engineer in Concordia. He also owned and operated Donnelly Liquor Store for many years.
Kenny loved golfing where you would see him on the course practically every day. Kenny was also on the chain gang for the home Clifton-Clyde Eagles Football games. Kenny was always on the front row of the CCE gym at all the home winter sporting events cheering on his hometown Eagles. He was also known as the starter for many local Track events.
He was a member of the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde Golf Association both of Clyde.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Christine of the home in Clyde; three daughters, Cheryl (Bobby) Crawford, Ann (Leroy) Bessette, Brenda (Marty) Cyr, four grandchildren, Tara (Bryce) Birdsall, Tyler (Megan) Crawford, Kimberly (Brady) Birdsall, Jake Bleick, eight great-grandchildren, Blaine Birdsall, Makenna Birdsall, Broden Crawford, Paisley Birdsall, Shaylee Crawford, Kye Birdsall, Harper Jo Cyr, and Emery Birdsall, his sister, Donna (Bob) Pierce, many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Geneva Marcotte, grandson Dustin Cyr, two brothers, Laverne (Roxana) Marcotte, Duane Marcotte.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 1-8 P.M. at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde, with the family receiving friends after the Rosary Service. Rosary Services will be held at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the Chaput Mortuary Clyde, led by Fr. Andrew Rockers.
A memorial mass will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 3, 2026, at the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, Kansas with Fr. Andrew Rockers officiating.
Inurnment will follow in the Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Clyde, Kansas.
A luncheon will be served for family and friends back at the Catholic Church following the graveside service.
