Monte Bean
Beloit Memorial services for Monte Bean, age 78 of rural Beloit, will be
held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.,at the Scottsville Community
Church in Scottsville, Kansas. Mr. Bean died July 20, 2026 at the Nicol Home in
Glasco. Survivors include his wife, Ileen, his children, Melissa (Matthew)
Schuster, Superior, Nebraska; Melinda (Chuck) Latham, Beloit, Kansas; Melanie
(Anthony) Lira, La Grange, Texas; and Matthew (Crystal) Bean, Glasco, Kansas;
step-children, J.D. (Michelle) Ehrsam, Olathe, Kansas and Jill Ehrsam, Beloit,
Kansas, brothers, Murray (Janet) Bean, Oakley, Kansas; Max (Susan) Bean, Glen
Elder, Kansas; and Mark (Jennifer) Bean, Glen Elder, Kansas; 14 grandchildren, 8
great-grandchildren with one on the way. Visitation will be from 1-7 PM, with
family present from 5-7 PM Tuesday, July 28 at the Roberts Family Funeral Home.
Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Monte's name can be
given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and may be sent to Roberts Family
Funeral Home, 910 N Campbell, Beloit, Ks 67420.
