David Glenn Scrivner of Scandia, Kansas passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in Denver, Colorado at the age of 71. He was born on November 19, 1954, to Glenn and Norma (Berggren) Scrivner.
David graduated from Scandia High School in 1972 and attended Cloud County Community College before enlisting in the US Navy.
In 1980 he married Lynda McCurdy in Cuba, Kansas and together they shared 46 years and raised two daughters, Kelsey Deanne and Kegan Leann.
David worked for the Robison Dairy Farm in high school and college. He later worked for Johnson and Larson Grain, Scandia Auto, and Coca-Cola.
A life-long resident of Scandia, David enjoyed spending time with his daughters, listing to music, feeding the birds, watching the Jayhawks, and was a collector of many things. David is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Norma Scrivner.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Scrivner; daughters Kelsey Scrivner of Kansas City, and Kegan Scrivner of Denver, Co; and his brother Bryan Scrivner, of Houston, TX.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Scandia, Kansas. Visitation will take place at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home on Thursday, September 3, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A private family burial will be held at Prairie Rose Cemetery, Scandia, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ASPEC of Republic County (Addiction and Suicide Prevention and Education Coalition) or NAMI KS (National Alliance of Mental Illness) in care of Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, P.O.
