Marjorie June (Feasel) Nelson, 92
Marjorie June (Feasel) Nelson was born July 16, 1934 to J. Ralph and M. Alene (Sanders) Feasel in Concordia, Kansas and passed away August 25, 2026 in Salina, KS. at the age of 92.
She attended Belleville Public Schools graduating from Belleville High School with the class of 1952. In 1953 Marge was united in marriage to Staten E. Hickman and to this union four children were born, Pamela, Steven, Michelle and Dawn.
On November 29, 1968, she was united in marriage to Bertil W. Nelson, soon adopting Marge's children. Marge worked at Arbuthnot Drug Company for a few years before moving to Courtland, Ks. with Bert and the children. She is most remembered for her 20+ years at Republic County Health Department as the Healthy Start Visitor, helping mothers and newborn babies throughout the county.
She was an active member of the Courtland United Methodist Women and the U & I Club for a number of years.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Alene Feasel and step-mother Beulah Feasel, first husband Staten Hickman, second husband Bertil Nelson, brothers Bob Feasel and his wife Mary Lou, Gary Feasel, sister, Betty Mohr and her husband Bernie Mohr, step-sisters Norma Tunks and husband Delbert, Kay Hanson, and daughter-in-law Dana Nelson.
She is survived by her children, Pamela (Jerry) Unruh of Durham, KS, Steven (Mary) Nelson of Concordia, KS, Michelle (Rob) Jensen of Salina, KS, and Dawn (Doug) Jackson of Belleville, KS, sister Dian (Glen) Haldorson of Salina, KS, brother-in-law Wayne (Rachel) Hickman of Knoxville, TN and sister-in-law Marilyn Feasel of La Grande, OR. 10 Grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, other family and friends.
Marjorie's wishes were to donate her body to KU Medical School.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the Central Christian Church, Belleville, KS with Pastor Seth Follmer officiating. Private family interment will be held at a later date.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 25, 2026 from 1:00-6:00 pm at the funeral home. The family will not be present.
