Gloria Bernadine (Wood) Kreinbrook, 92, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, at Chapman Healthcare Center in Alexander City, Alabama.
Gloria was born on January 28, 1934, in Luray, Kansas, to Arlo and Ethel Cochrun. She married William “Bill” Wood on June 8, 1951. Gloria will be remembered for her love of Gospel music and her gift for playing the piano at church.
Gloria dedicated 30 years of her life to serving Osborne County as County Clerk before retiring. She later moved to Springfield, Missouri, where she married Robert Kreinbrook. While living in Springfield, she was a member of Calvary Christian Assembly of God.
Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her throughout the years. She is survived by her son, William Dwight Wood and his wife, Sue, of Tallassee, Alabama; her daughter, Sheila Kay Waugh and her husband, Bill, of Osborne, Kansas; her sister, Mary Agloro of Vancouver, Washington; 4 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Wood; her brother, Alfred Cochrun of Springfield, Missouri; and her parents, Arlo and Ethel Cochrun.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schoen Funeral Home & Monuments.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Osborne Assembly of God Church, 115 S. Oak St., Osborne, Kansas 67473.
