Nancy Kay Gliwa, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, passed away on April 30, 2024.
Nancy was born in Omaha, Nebraska, June 2, 1954 to Michael T. Gliwa and Thelma M. Gliwa (Vogltanz. Nancy was one of six siblings born from this union.
She was united in marriage to Paul J. Bartman, and to this union two daughters, Renee and Heather, were born. They were later divorced.
Nancy truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. Chatting with family and friends, reading, puzzling and spending quality time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She also had many passions throughout her life bowling, fishing, gardening, sewing and traveling. She was always up for a family game of Scrabble during the holidays.
Her pride and joy were her grandkids and great-grandkid. She attended all of their school activities and accomplishments.
Nancy attended the United Methodist Church. She will be remembered for her fighting spirit and strength, strong willed personality, her loving heart and her ability to bring a video camera to every event she attended.
She is preceded in death by her father Michael, mother Thelma and sister Susan.
Nancy is deeply missed and survived by her daughters, Renee (Troy) Garman of Scandia, Kansas, and Heather (Mike) Gieber of Belleville, Kansas; five grandkids, Jardyn, Sydney, Tristyn, Daltyn and Lakyn; great-grandchild, Tru; brothers John, Tommy, Billy and David and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Direct cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date with family and friends
