Beloit to host 37th Annual 8 Man All Star Games
The 37th Annual Kansas 8 Man All Star Games will be played in Beloit on Saturday, June 11th. The Division I West game will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Trojan Field on North Hersey Avenue. Pre-game will begin at 9:30 a.m. with introduction of the players.
The Beloit Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Pep Rally and refreshments for the players, coaches and fans on Friday, June 10th, starting at 4 p.m. at Chautauqua Park in Beloit.

Donovan Balluch, Hoxie, has been selected for the Division I West Squad. He is a 2022 graduate of Hoxie High School and his future plans are undecided.
Fotball statistics and honors include: 3 year letterman, Sports in Kansas All State Football-2021 First Team; Sports in Kansas Top 100 Seniors Honorable Mention, Sports in Kansas Tackle Leaders in Kansas, KSHSAA All-League Second Team Defense, Wichita Eagle All State Honorable Mention Offensive Line and Linebacker.
Hoxie was Regional runner-up in 2021, Sub-state runner-up in 2020 and Sectional runner-up in 2018.
Honors and achievements in other sports include: Wresting 4 year letterman, Track 3 year letterman, MCL Champion in wrestling, KEMFA State Power Lifting 2021, 5th in Clean, 4th in Bench and 3rd Overall.

Hodgeman County was Sectional runner-up in 2018; Regional runner-up in 2019, had a 5-4 record in 2020 and a 4-5 record in 2021.

Football statistics and accomplishments include: 8 Man MCL Defensive 1st Team, 8 Man All-State Honorable Mention, Tackle Leaders in Kansas (Sports in Kansas). Trego Community won their first playoff game since 2003 with an 8-3 record.

Xavier Hernandez, Leoti, has been selected for the Division I West Squad. He is a 2022 graduate of Wichita County Junior-Senior High School and plans to attend SATC to study diesel technology.

Xavier was selected as 2nd team all league 2021, honorable mention all-state 2020. He started 3 years. He started on a team that was a semifinal runner-up (2019) and state runner-up (2020). His class has the most career wins in Wichita County History with a record of 34-9 over four years.

Braydon James Patterson has been chosen for the I West Team in the 8 Man Football game in 2022. He is a 2022 graduate of Hodgeman County High School and plans to attend Kansas State University Salina Aerospace and Technology, pursing a backer degree in the profession.
Football statistics and honors include: 1 Pancake block, 2 fumble recoveries, played 21 games, 93 solo tackles, 127 total tackles, had ab average of 6 tackles per game. Braydon's junior year he was selected 1st team offense ad defense and All State Honorable Mention.
In his freshman tear the team was sectional runner-up and 1st district; sophomore year, team was regional rubber-up and 1st in the district.
Braydon's senior year he as selected 1st Team Offensive Line and 2nd Team Defensive Line and Honorable Mention through the Wichita Eagle.

When Brayden is not in school he is active in his local Bible Study and is also active in 4-H where he participate in the livestock project.
Hobbies and interests include hanging out at the lake with is family and friends. He enjoys fishing, bonfires, camping and riding jet skis.
