Norman Ray Lipker of Hebron, NE the son of Albert and Esther (Doering) Lipker was born July 3, 1943 in Oak, Nebraska. He departed this life Thursday May 12, 2016 at Blue Valley Lutheran Home in Hebron, Nebraska at the age of 72 years.

Norm grew up and attended school in Ruskin, NE. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mark Lutheran Church.

Norman married Elaine Ward September 9, 1961 at The Church of Christ in Nelson, NE. This union was blessed with the birth of three children.

In 1981 through 1994 he started driving for Jensby Trucking in Hardy, Nebraska, after that he drove for Bill Larkins then George Eberly and for Saltzman Trucking. His passion was driving truck and hauling cattle. He drove over six million miles in over 40 years. He was doing just what God intended for him to do, loved being out on the road, and even taking his kids and grandchildren to ride along, even if he had to tell a little white lie about how long the trip would be.

He married Lorna Renken February 29, 1996 in York, Nebraska.

He liked to tinker in the shop, working on different things and then spray painting them to give them a newer look, even using a little duct tape.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Lester, Dennis, and Steve Lipker.

He is survived by one son Todd Lipker of Ruskin, NE, two daughters; Rhonda Betten and husband Kent of Deshler, NE and Tracy Tietjen and husband Lyle of Hebron, NE, two brothers Robert and wife Tami of Harvard, NE, and Barry of Hastings, NE, sister Marilyn Holtzen and husband Lloyd of Davenport, NE, two sisters-in-law Peggy Lipker of Superior, NE and Moneen Lipker of Aurora, CO, grandchildren; Jessica Brown and husband Brett of Blair, NE, Brady Betten and wife Alison of Yankton, SD, Kayla Lipker of Lincoln, NE, Kinsey and McKenna Tietjen both of Hebron, NE, four great-grandchildren; Quinn, Jonas and Drake Brown of Blair, NE and Madilyn Betten of Yankton, SD, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday May 16, 2016 at Kroll Funeral Home Chapel in Hebron, NE at 10AM. Officiant will be Pastor Brian Francik, organist Joy Wolfe, congregational hymns "In The Garden", "Old Rugged Cross" and "Abide With Me". Visitation will be Sunday May 15, 2016 at Kroll Funeral Home in Hebron, NE 1PM to 7PM. Interment will be at Sprink Creek Cemetery at Ruskin, NE. Condolences may be left at www.krollfh.com, memorial in care of the family. Kroll Funeral Home of Hebron,NE is in charge of arrangements.
