Alberta Kirkendall, Age 92

Alberta Mary Kirkendall age 92, passed away on Monday May 23, 2016 at the Smith County Memorial Hospital in Smith Center, KS. She was a bookkeeper for many years.

Survivors include her daughter Jane Margaret (Marty) Gent of Smith Center, KS; two sons, Joseph Collier Kirkendall of Oxford, NE, James Alan Kirkendall of Smith Center, KS; three grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 5PM until 7Pm Friday evening May 27, 2016 at the Simmons-Rentschler Mortuary in Smith Center.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday May 28, 2016 at the United Methodist Church in Smith Center.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Smith Center, KS.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Smith Center and can be sent in care of the mortuary.
