8 Man Division II East Squad 2023

Beloit to host 38th Annual 8 Man All Star Games
The 38th Annual Kansas 8 Man All Star Games will be played in Beloit on Saturday, June 10th. The Division II game will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Trojan Field on North Hersey Avenue. Pre-game will begin at 9:30 a.m. with introduction of the players.
The Beloit Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Pep Rally and refreshments for the players, coaches and fans on Friday, June 9th, starting at 4 p.m. at Chautauqua Park in Beloit.

Austin Scott Bailey, Lebo, will be on the Division II West Squad. He is a 2023 graduate of Lebo High School and plans to attend Ottawa University to play football and study Physical Therapy. He is the son of Jeff Bailey and Melodie Tucker. His high school football coach was Brian Hadley.
Football accomplishments, statistics and honors include: 42 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 32 pancakes. Sophomore year: All-State HM D-Line, Junior year, All State 1st Team Defensive Line, All-State HM Offensive Line, 1st Team All-League Offensive Line and Defensive Line, All-District 1st Team Offensive Line and Defensive Line; Senior year: All League 1st Team Offensive Line and 1st Team Defensive Line, League's Defensive MVP, All District 1st Team Offensive Line and 1st Team Defensive Line, District's Defensive MVP, All-State 1st Team Defensive Line (Sports in Kansas), All State 1st Team Offensive Line (KSHSAA Covered), All-State 1st Team Offensive line and HM Defensive Line (Wichita Eagle).
The team was District Champs in 2020, 2021 and 2022, League Champs in 2020 and 2021, Sectional Runner-up 2020, 2021, 2022.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include 1st place KSHSAA Bench Champion, 3rd Squat, 3rd overall; 1,200 pound club in Bench, Squat and Clean.
Activities and honors outside of school include Community Service.
Hobbies and interests are Madden Mobile and lifting weights.
Austin was on the 3.55-3.99 honor roll in school.

Holden Barker, Crest, has been selected for the Division II East Game which will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Trojan Field in Beloit. He is a 2023 graduate of Crest High School and plans to be a farmer and rancher. His parents are Buzzy and Missy Barker and his high school football coach was Nick McAnulty.
Football statistics and accomplishments include: 476 carries, 4,177 yards, 8.78 yards per carry, 82 touchdowns, 259 tackles, 16 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 9 fumble recoveries, 3 years unanimous 1st Team Three Rivers League running back/linebacker, 1st team All-State running back, Kansas 8 Man top 8, SEK Player of the year, Kansas Pregame top 100 photo shoot.
Crest was 2 years 3 Rivers League champions, district champions and regional champions.
Honors and accomplishments in school include: 1st Team All State DH.
Holden enjoys rodeo, working and hunting. He was a member of FFA in school.

Thomas Barnett, 2023 graduate of Central Christian School-Hutchinson, has been selected for the Division II All Star East squad. His future plans include attending Hutchinson Community College and K-State Salina to become a corporate pilot.
Thomas' parents are Matt and Camille Barnett. His coach is Matt Barnett.
Career football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: All District Honorable Mention Linebacker, junior year; All District 1st Team Linebacker and Wide Receiver, senior year; All State Honorable Mention Linebacker and Wide Receiver, senior year.
Central Christian School reached the state playoffs 2 years.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include lettering 3 years in track and 1 year in basketball.
Thomas is a member of his church youth group and is worship leader and life group leader.
He enjoys flying and loves playing the guitar.

He is a 2023 graduate of St. John's Catholic High School and he plans to attend Kansas State University for Agriculture Education. Lebo was District Champions his freshman-senior year, and sectional game appearance freshman-senior years.
Activities and honors in school include FFA and FBLA, 4 years; Principles Honor Roll throughout high school, Class Treasurer and FFA Treasurer.

Isaac Detweiler, 2023 graduate of Axtell High School, has been selected for the Division II East Squad. His parents are Eric and Michelle Detweiler and his high school coach was Eric Detweiler. His future plans are undecided.
Football accomplishments, statistics and honors include: 2 time Offensive Player of the Year, Top 11, Top 8; 3x All State Quarterback, One time All State Wide Receiver, 4 time All League Offense, 3 time All League Defense; 6,410 yards, 117 Passing TD's, 3174 yards, 63 Rushing TD's, 855 YDs 11 receiving TD, 69.7 percent completion.
Team accomplishments include State Runner-Up ad Back to Back undefeated state champions.
Isaac was selected 1st Team All League in Basketball and 2nd Team All State in Basketball.
He enjoys hunting and fishing.
Activities and honors in school include: STUCO, KAYS, Scholars Bowl, basketball, track, National Honors Society.

Noah Freeman, Wakefield, has been selected for the Division II East Squad. He is a 2023 graduate of Wakefield High School and plans to attend Tech school for HVAC/Electrical. His parents are Chris and Shanna Freeman.
Career football statistics, accomplishments an honors include: 1st Team All League (Wheat State League), 2nd Team All District 4, Sports in Kansas 8 Man II Honorable Mention.
Activities and honors outside of school include: Summer Camp councilor at Convent Cedars; powerlifting, National Honors Society, Student Council.

Jace Gosch, Norwich High School, has been selected for the Division II East Squad. He is a 2023 graduate of Norwich High School and he plans to attend Kansas State University to achieve a Bachelor Degree in Animal Science and Industry. Jace's parents are Justin Gosch and Tammy Hilger and his high school football coach was Mike Wilmott.
Career football statistics, accomplishments and honors include 1,153 receiving yards, 17 receiving touchdowns, 15.1 yards a receotion, 1,375 rushing yards, 26 rushing touchdowns, 8.1 yards per carry, 269 tackles.
Norwich made the playoffs all four years for the first time in a decade.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include 3 time All-League Basketball, Honorable Mention All-State.
Activities and and honors outside of school include winning the NBC State Baseball three times as a kid.
Hobbies and interests are showing cattle, working on the family farm and team bonding trips.
Activities and honors in school include FFA Vice-President, SADD member and StuCo member.

Alexander (Xander) Thomas Hull, Frankfort, has been selected for the Division II East Squad. He is a 2023 graduate of Frankfort High School and his future plans are undecided. His parents are Jake and Anna Hull and his high school football coach was Nick Anderson.
Football statistics, honors and accomplishments include KSHSAA All Eight Man Player Division 2 Football Team Honorable Mention, Eight Man All Star game pick.
Frankfort made the playoffs all 4 years of high school and was league champions in 2019.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include tournament team 2020 Kansas Boys 1A State Basketball Tournament.
Outside of school he played basketball and track.
Hobbies and interests are forensics/acting, Media Creation. In State Forensics Festival he ranked 1st in Improvised Duet Acting.

Kreighton Klima, 2023 graduate of Linn High School, has been selected for the Division II East squad. His parents are Misty Ohlde and Kevin Klima and his future plans are undecided. His high school coach was Trevor Kuhlman.
Football accomplishments and statistics include: 4 year letterman and reaching the football playoffs.
Kreighton also qualified for the state track meet and enjoys fishing and playing 2k.
He is also an honor student.

Tanner (TJ) Koehn, Canton-Galva High School, has been selected for the Division II East Squad game. He is a 2023 graduate of Canton-Galva High School and plans to attend college and continue his football career. TJ's parents are Shawn and Jeannie Koehn and his coach was Shelby Hoppes.

Canton-Galva was State Champions 2 times and State Runner-Up.

He was selected 1st team Wheat State League, SIK HM non-senior 8 man team, SIK 8 Man All-State, KSHSAA covered 8 ML HM WR; Wichita Eagle 9/8MI HM WR. Senior year: All WSL 1st Team, KSHSSA 8-man DII All-State 1st Team, Topeka All-State 1st team; Wichita Eagle DII All-State Team offense, SIK All State WR.
Canton-Galva was State Champions in 2019; Sectional Runner-Up in 2020; Sub-State Runner-Up in 2021 and 2022.
He played basketball for 3 years.

Stetson Setter, Colony-Crest High School, has been selected for the Division II East squad. He is a 2023 graduate of Colony-Crest High School and plans to attend college and play basketball. His parents are Karla Boots and Doug Setter.
Football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: 437 yards rushing, 614 yards receiving; selected All League First Team Special Teams and Second Team All League Receiver.
Colony-Crest was league champions 2 ties during Stetson's career.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include 2-1A Basketball Player of the Year; 1st Team All State Outfield and Infield, Honorable Mention Basketball.
Hobbies and interests include golf, hunting, and hanging out with friends.

Kiser Wiatrak, St. Paul High School, has been selected for the Division II East Squad. He is a 2023 graduate of Saint Paul High School. His parents are Keith and Staci Wiatrak. His high school coach was Keith Wiatrak.
Football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: All League 1st Team 3 years, All District 1st Team, All State Junior and Senior Year; Senior Year - 722 yards rushing on 64 carries, 141 tackles, 86 solo tackles.
Team achievements and accomplishments include making the state playoffs all 4 years, League Championship and District Championship in 2019.
Awards and accomplishments in other sports include: All League Basketball and All League Baseball.
Activities and honors in school include Honor Roll, Math Club, FFA, FBLA and STUCO.
Hobbies and interests include team roping, calf roping, breaking horses, Ranch Rodeo, basketball, baseball, skiing (water & snow).
His future plans include Rodeo at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.

Joshua Zarybnicky is a 2023 graduate of Hanover High School. He plans to attend UNL for Turf Management. His parents are Jim and Kathy Zarybnicky.
Career football accomplishments, accomplishments and honors include: 51 receptions, 1163 yards, 23 CDs, and 140 tackles. Hanover was 2020 Undefeated State Champs with an 11-0 record.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include 2020 State Track Champion, 202 Basketball State Champion.
Hobbies and interests include weightlifting and playing pool
