Stanley Ray Muths, age 67, passed away April 11, 2024, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. Stanley was born on February 1, 1957, in Beloit, Kansas.
He was the youngest child of Julius and Delphine Muths. He resided with his family on the farm three miles west of Tipton. Stanley attended school at St. Boniface in Tipton and then at NCK Area Vo-Tech in Beloit, Kansas. He graduated with a certification in Heavy Equipment.
Stan was employed by several manufacturing plants. He was also a lineman and enjoyed helping local farmers with harvest and farm work. He also mowed the grounds for the parish.
Stan lived on the farm until his mother passed away in April of 2015, and a tornado that destroyed the farm one month later. He then went to live with his sister, Carol, in Blair, Nebraska. At Blair, he worked at MidAmerica Computer Corp. In 2018, Stan moved back to Tipton and bought a house.
He is survived by his sister, Carol Sperry of Blair, Nebraska; sister, Yvonne (Ron) Strecker of Ellinwood, Kansas; brother, Lyle Muths (Annette Gasper) of Tipton, Kansas; nephews, Brian Strecker (Stacy), Ellinwood, Kansas, Andy (Whitney) Strecker, Cuero, Texas; nieces, Jennifer (Jason) Nelson, Omaha, Nebraska, Julie Harris, Lincoln, Nebraska, Christy (Jeremy) May, South Bend Indiana, Aimee (DeQuentin) Brokelman, Salem, Alabama; great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Delphine Muths. Stanley loved hunting and fishing, throwing horseshoes, and also drinking beer with his friends. He enjoyed trips with his sisters and brother-in-law, Ron. He will be remembered by his great smile, friendliness and willingness to help others. In addition, Stanley is remembered as a hero for donating his organs through Midwest Transplant Network.
A wake service will be held at 7 PM on Wednesday, April 24, at St. Boniface Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at the church at 10 AM Thursday, April 25. Inurnment will follow at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
